The ARRL is campaigning to remove private land-use restrictions that prevent Amateur Radio operators from installing antennas, even though federal law already protects Americans’ rights to install antennas for TV, internet, and flagpoles. They argue that Hams are unfairly excluded from these rights, limiting their ability to serve communities.
To fix this, ARRL has helped to draft Congressional bills H.R. 1094 and S. 459, which would guarantee radio amateurs the right to install and use antennas on private land that they own.
The ARRL is asking Amateur Radio operators to help by sending letters to their Representatives and Senators through send-a-letter.org/hoa to show support and build momentum for passing the legislation.
